Lake Erie Duck Hunting with Captain Ken’s Wild Wings
Duck hunting on Lake Erie is a one-of-a-kind experience, and with Captain Ken’s Wild Wings, you’re guided by seasoned professionals who live and breathe waterfowl. Led by Captain Kenny Lewis, a retired U.S. Army Chaplain Colonel and lifelong outdoorsman, our guided duck hunts offer unmatched access to some of the most productive waterfowl habitat in the Great Lakes region.
Premier Waterfowl Hunts on the Great Lakes
Operating from October through late January, our Lake Erie duck hunting trips are designed for both seasoned waterfowlers and first-time hunters. We target a variety of duck species including:
- Canvasbacks
- Redheads
- Goldeneyes
- Mallards
- Bluebills
- Other diving and puddle ducks depending on migration timing
Using layout boats and open water rigs, we get you close to the action. Our rotation system allows up to six hunters, with two at a time in the layout boat and the rest staged on the mother boat. This keeps everyone fresh, alert, and ready for shooting opportunities when they count.
Safe, Professional, and Fully Outfitted Hunts
What sets Captain Ken’s Wild Wings apart is our focus on preparation, safety, and success. We use top-tier layout boats like the Layout Addictions “Ghost,” combined with expert decoy spreads, to consistently put birds in range. All hunting equipment—boats, blinds, and decoys—is provided. Hunters may bring their own firearms or request help arranging gear.
Captain Kenny and his team emphasize safe firearm handling, strong communication, and a well-organized hunt from start to finish. With decades of experience on Lake Erie, we know how to adapt to changing weather, wind, and migration conditions to maximize your chances of success.
Personal Service with a Professional Touch
Captain Kenny brings leadership, discipline, and a calm, welcoming presence to each hunt. His wife Lynn helps run the operation, adding to the personal and family-friendly atmosphere that many returning guests appreciate.
We welcome:
- Solo hunters
- Groups and families
- Beginners and experienced waterfowlers alike
You’ll need a valid Ohio hunting license, federal duck stamp, and state wetlands habitat stamp. We’re happy to assist with the process before your trip.
